   John Nicholas Dennery


John Dennery is President of Dennery's Inc., a governmental
consulting firm based in Jackson, Mississippi. John 
represents clients before the state legislative bodies
and government sectors that reach across all levels of local, 
county, and state government.

Prior to establishing JOHN DENNERY GOVERNEMENT AFFAIRS, Mr. Dennery was
the owner and operator of Dennery's Restaurant for 33 years, until his retirement from
foodservice.

He also serves as President of Dennery's Inc. and a subsidiary company, Greymont Avenue Development. He was a founding board member for the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Worker's Compensation Trust. He served as Chairman of the Board, President and Vice President for the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association. He was recognized as Restaurateur of the Year in 1987.  He was delegate to the White House Conference on Small Business in 1980.  He was selected as Advocate of the Year for Small Business in 1980 by the US Small Business Administration.  He has served a President and Vice President for the Jackson Chapter of the Mississippi Hospitality and Restaurant Association.

Mr. Dennery is a third generation restaurateur with his linage in small business going back to the early 1900's.  Developed while in the restaurant industry, Mr. Dennery has had the honor of friendships with such dignitaries as President Ronald Reagan, Vice President George H. Bush, Secretary of State Alexander Haig, Secretaries of Agriculture Ron Brown and Mike Espy, Senators Thad Cochran, Roger Wicker, Trent Lott, James O. Eastland, and John Stennis. Also, Congressmen Gene Taylor, Gregg Harper, Bennie Thompson, Chip Pickering, Ronnie Shows, Sonny Montgomery, Wayne Dowdy, Mike Parker, Jamie Whitten, Frank Smith, and Thomas Abernethy were friends. Almost every Mississippi legislator and every Mississippi Governor since 1948 have dined at Dennery's Restaurant. Numerous local and national celebrities, sports legends, and business leaders know John on a first-name basis.

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Mr. Dennery lives in Jackson and is married to Laura Camp Dennery. They have three children; Nicole, a nurse, who is married to Patrick Brien, a medical equipment sales representative originally from Magee, Mississippi; Christina, a CPA, who is married to Len Hester, a construction project manager originally from Tupelo, Mississippi; and Nicholas John Dennery, II, a dentist in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  The Dennery's belong to Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.  He is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the School of Business.
